On a cloudy Friday, May 5, 2023, we drove with our friends, the Carters, to Loomis, Ca, about 30 minutes east of Sacramento, to the Horton Iris Farm. It was a new experience for me, anyway. One could stroll the gardens just for a look-see. Or, the more experienced iris aficionado could order irises to be picked up or delivered in August.
